Yes, please put the word out! We used to live in Texas so I know how overwhelming rescue can be down south. I used to patrol the Dallas shelters regularly before we moved to California. Thanks for commenting on my Stoli. He is the BEST dog... I wi...

What are your interests with your animals and pets?
The humane and ethical care of all animals. I am quite involved and active in the future welfare and status of the Great Pyrenees breed.
I have had pets all my life, mostly dogs. Since 1972 the whole family has been involved with the Great Pyrenees. We have had several other dogs including those without know pedigrees. We have Nubian Goats that are mostly pets now. We have several families of deer that grace us with their beauty and elegance here on our property. It is a wonder to see the young deer grow up and then have their own exquisite doe the next year or so.
I believe that God put us all here for a reason and he provided the animals for the same reason. In order to be good stewards of our place here on earth we must care for all the creatures.

GPCA Board of Directors election is underway

For those GPCA members who are full members and can vote, the election of GPCA Board members is underway now. Hopefully you have all gotten your ballots in the mail and I want to encourage you all to vote.
The club faces some major problems going forward and the national economy problems will likely complicate this. Fiscal restraint is necessary for the long term welfare of the club. Throwing money at problems, like the Bulletin, is not a good solution. People, not money solve problems. Sometime… Continue

Thank you! I just read about your expertise on Pyrs yesterday--it's an honor to be in your company (as well as all the others, too).
We love our Coco, and I'm certainly getting my exercise during her puppy stage. We had done a great deal of homework before purchasing her from a nearby breeder, but we're doing even more homework now!

Hi Joseph,
It is very glad, to such warm reception in your community! At us in Ural Mountains almost do not know breed. My first dog of Ljalka, has been found in the street in 2 years, in very strong frosts. Whence it has appeared in Ekaterinburg, is not known, owners were not, the truth it did not have a brand. Later she very much was ill, it had 3 operations, a heart trouble, nephritic insufficiency. She has lived 11 years, 7 years we lived on medicines, but it had a tremendous thirst of a life and we helped it. It was the love of all life. In its 2007 did not become.
About other breed could not go and speeches. Searched for a dog through the Internet – there was Justin, from Peter. The owner of nursery it has appeared not so decent person. With cultivation did not help, and I knowledge have not enough and information on Pyrenees a particle. The family tree has come to us a year later. But we will not be about sad, I am very glad to new friends. If will help councils and the information, I will be grateful!
I conduct in Ekaterinburg at a forum a theme: «Ural pyrenees! It is not enough of us, but we with friends ….»
To depth of soul it is touched by kindliness of your community!
Yours faithfully, Margarita!
