Hello Leasia,
It sounds like u have every thing covered ...I'm sorry Appa is so sick I had no idea that he was sickly ...I think u have strong instincts and somtimes with any animal thats what u have to go with...keep him comfortable and pain free as much as possible ...I'm a new PYR owener myselfe so Im still learning alot about the breed but I have always had dogs and the study of wolf behavior at my job ... basic instincts are somtimes your best answer because no one knows your animals like you .

Hello Leasia.
It's great u rescued there are so many pyrs out there needing homes...Im sure by now your pyr is settled,I wish u the best of luck w/him....:)
My boy is also a rescue I got him last Oct.he was only a month old ...he had a broken tail and he had no hair on his back feet and tail ...bad ear infection ,fleas ,and worms
The fur never grew properly on his tail but other than that he's a beautiful pyr...he is having problems limping and is getting x-rays in the morning... Im hoping its just growing pains.
How is your rescue doing? Let us know ...

About Me: Tell us a bit about yourself and your interest in animals
I am a stay at home Mom, and I love working with our dogs. We're training them both to guard livestock as well as the home. We love getting out there and getting the kids familiar with our dogs as well.
Thanks for all the welcomes! I have a rescued Great Pyrenees and would love some advice on him. He's absolutely wonderful with us and the kids. Thanks!
